ASTRAL DISSONANCE SAUERKRAUT is composed of 61 works those has as support blindfolds gifts gained during air travel.
The name of the work is the poem’s graft, ASTRAL DISSONANCE SAUERKRAUT, 2005, of the poet Demetrius Lucas. My relationship with Demetrius is the result of my immersion within the Institute Nise da Silveira. Demetrius is one of the customers of the art therapy workshops of the Museum of Images of the Unconscious that through practices like: drawing, painting and writing, serves patients with mental disorders.
Using as support blindfolds from International air travels, the work refers to our globalised world, which everyday challenges us to navigate and adapt to new perspectives, fostering a deeper understanding of our shared human experience.
Sowing on them ordinary objects that can be seen as remans of our globalised world, the artist try to creates a unique composition an Unconscious landscapes that seek to allude or simply create contemporary symbols and archetypes. Delusional narratives from those that, covering the eye, starts to see.
